Spektrum Medical Operations is led by a team that has built and run medical capability in environments where conventional providers do not reliably deliver. The clinical leadership is real, named, and accountable.
John Solms is the founder and managing director of Spektrum Medical. A career senior leader in protective and medical operations, his experience spans thirty years across executive protection, embedded medical capability, and field operations in remote, austere, and high-risk environments — for ultra-high-net-worth families, executives, foundations, diplomats, and operational teams worldwide.
He brings together a deep operational background with academic credentials specifically designed to build medical capability in difficult environments. His Master's in Paramedicine from Creighton University was focused on prehospital and community paramedicine — the discipline of designing clinical care for the field, not the hospital. His Bachelor's in Emergency Medical Services Administration from Columbia Southern University centered on the structural side of the same discipline: building EMS systems that actually function in the conditions they face.
That combination — operational depth, clinical rigor, and the academic framework to build systems rather than just operate within them — is the foundation of how Spektrum Medical Operations is run.
Spektrum Medical Operations runs with a deliberately compact named leadership, supported by a working structure of contracted clinical directorship and deployable field personnel. Team members are listed here as they join Spektrum in named roles.
Every engagement runs under professional medical directorship by board-certified emergency physicians, contracted per program. The clinical authority is real, named within the engagement, and accountable for the standard of care delivered.
Operational medical personnel selected per engagement from a network of clinicians and medics with prior experience in environments similar to the ones they will be deployed to. We do not assign personnel to learn the work in the field.
